We’ve had some Instagram influencers busily working away creating some lovely craft ideas for Father’s Day.  If you’re looking for some last minute inspiration…

Finger Print Hands – can be done on card or canvas

What you need:

White card, paints, scissors, masking tape / sticky back plastic* (apron / mat to protect table – optional!)

  • * If using Canvas, sticky back plastic is great for the hands – just peel the back off once finished.  If using Card, masking tape works well to stick hands to the other piece of card.

Wet wipes / cloth for afterwards!

What to do:

  • Draw an outline of your child’s hands on one piece of paper and cut out
  • Stick the hand outlines to another piece of card using
  • Finger print using different colour paints all over the piece of white card
  • When the paint is dry, remove the hand outlines to leave the white hand prints surrounded by lots of coloured finger prints

Thanks to @our.familyfable for the photo and inspiration 💜

Handprint Tree

Rosettes / Father’s Day DAD Cards

Rosettes:

Coloured card – at least 2 different colours, scissors, pen / pencil, glue

What to do:

  • From the other piece of card, cut out a flower shape (see photo above) which is smaller than the bigger circle and bigger than the smaller circle
  • Glue the shapes on top of one another.
  • Cut out two ribbon shaped pieces of card in one colour and one ribbon shaped piece of card in the other colour.
  • Glue the pieces together as shown in photo and attach to the rosette.
  • Write your message on the rosette

Father’s Day DAD cards

What you need:

Card, paints, tape, sponges (wet wipe / cloth for afterwards!)

What to do:

  • Fold the card in half
  • Stick tape onto the card in the shape of the letters DAD
  • Two options here – either finger print on the card or dip sponges in paint and sponge paint around the tape
