With Easter fast approaching, we thought we’d share some ideas for home made Easter cards to help keep your little ones busy. A big thank you to Anna and the Popitha twins for the ideas and instructions on how to make these cards 🙂
As always with Messy Me, there’s some mess about!
Easter Cards Ideas
Here are 3 lovely ideas for Easter cards which little ones will love making and friends and family would love to receive:
The first card is a very simple finger printing Easter chick card. This is a good simple card to start with. All you need to do is dip your child’s finger in the paint, and make 3 finger prints. Depending on the child’s age, either they or you can add the detail.
Most children love painting their hands, so we had to include a hand print Easter card idea. Depending on the age of your children, you made need to help them with painting and pressing their hands on to the card . If you’re feeling brave, you can then let them have a go by themselves…
Leave the handprint to dry and wash little hands!
Once the handprint is dry, the ears and features can be painted on – again, this can be done by mum or little one depending on their age.
Easter Egg Card
For this final card, draw some small egg shapes on a piece of paper and paint them in a variety of different colours. Children will enjoy not only the painting but mixing different colours as well. This is a really good activity for fine motor skills and pencil control.
Once the mini eggs are dry, they can be cut out (either by mum or little one depending on their age) and stuck onto a larger piece of card. Brightly coloured card works well – either in a traditional card shape or shaped like an Easter egg – as in our photo
